EMIR OWUSU-ANSAH

Greetings! My name is Emir and I’m an intern here at Turning Corners, Inc. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology and I am currently getting my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wilmington University. I have over 5 years of experience working with children & teens as a counselor, coach, mentor, and advocate.

While interning at Turning Corners, Inc., I would like to work with children & teens, adults, and families who are searching for a solution. My particular passion is for underserved populations, such as LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. My primary focus is to listen first, empower second, and make meaningful life changes through person-centered, goal-directed interventions. I believe all individuals deserve a space to feel supported, heard, and recognized. If you are searching for support in dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, LGBTQIA+ obstacles, parenting assistance, or substance abuse, I am happy to help you navigate this process.
